I'm Selbi
I am currently a Headteacher of a Kindergarten by day, and a wooden toy creator by night! I believe in following the interests of the child and creating beautiful, planet-friendly open-ended toys and resources. The woodies are original designs by myself and my husband’s Grandad - Grandad T. We originally started making woodies in our own workshop during lockdown… but as the business grew, we expanded to the business you see today. Sustainability remains at the heart of what we do. Sustainability
We are committed to ensuring our products are as planet-friendly as they can be. We do this in three key ways:
1. Woodies are made in the UK from start to finish. This means you are purchasing a toy which reduces your carbon footprint compared with buying toys which are sourced from abroad.
2. The wood we use to make woodies contribute to the health of UK forests. We work closely with our supplier to ensure the wood we use is sustainably sourced. We are passionate about protecting the biodiversity of forests and ensuring we look after our forests for the generations to come.
3. Our packaging is as eco-friendly as can be. Your product will be packaged using cardboard boxes for larger items and recyclable mailers for smaller items. Our tissue paper, tape and stickers are 100% FSC certified, non-toxic and compostable.
